That was roughly my reaction. I do love these people who say, albeit not in so many words, "I’m not a NIMBY, I just don’t want it in my own back garden".

p.s. lanark, i have a lot of simpathy for nimby-s, but i think the point is that this isn’t so much nimby, as not in my nearby public access museam site belonging to the city council that i’ve chosen to live by. (nimnpamsbttcctictlb?)

Yes, of course you do, because for most of the day you’ll be staring at a set of wardrobes and a bed. And when dusk falls, we USE OUR CURTAINS…
